The current issue of the German scene magazine
Sonic Seducer (Edition 02/10) features a small article about

ATTENTION PLEASE...
DJ Toxic electro from the band LEGION (djelecrotoxic@hotmail.com) has been implicated in the cancellation of our Mexico City show, please bear in mind that we never had any contact with this person, we don't know who he is, furthermore he has contacted to ask us to clear his name from all the ordeal because our Blog/Bulletin we posted regarding our cancellation has brought him a lot of disruption and apathy from people in general. we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

09/12/2009 | Cancellation of the Mexico performance
Unfortunately we have to cancel our performance in Mexico. Here the statement directly from State of The Union:
It is with our deepest disappointment that we regret to inform our Mexican fans that our show in Mexico City on Oct. 31, 2009 has been cancelled once again!
Our band and our fans have been fooled by irresponsible people who call themselves Event Organizers/Show promoters whose's greed and ego have forced many bands like ours to assume positions of uncertainty which are not beneficial for us or anyone in this business. these egotistical souls have ruined the credibility of anything coming out of Mexico City, this is ashamed!!!...our Mexican fans are among the best in the world, the most loyal and fanatical crowd we've ever played in front of, they don't deserve this.
Mexico and its people are Great!!!...let's keep it that way, please let's all stand united to avoid this kind of crap from happening again. Those promoters know who they are and my message to them is that they should have some respect for the people they represent.
In conclusion, we'd like to tell our fans that we won't commit to anymore shows in Mexico City until this situation with show promoters and event organizers is resolved once and for all.

There are some news about the remix contest. Here a message directly from
State of The Union:
Dear Fans & Fellow Remixers,
The word is OVERWHELMED, yes that's how we feel right now!!!
We are overwhelmed by the amazing response in the amount of remixes that have been turned in to us of our new single-song - Dancing in the Dark -.
We have received a total of 37 remix entrees from well known and respected bands/artists in the scene, This is way more than we were anticipating!
We have been very diligently listening to each and every one of the remixes submitted to us and needless to say it has been very hard to decide which ones are the best, this is only subject to the interpretation of the listener.
They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder so we will let our fans decide which one is the best remix. The remixes are all entitled to a round of applause and each remix is the best in its own right and stands apart from the rest, in our eyes every remix was very meticulously crafted and successful in its goal of capturing the essence of the remixer :o)
There has been a change in plans though :o)
Initially we had planned to choose 10 remixes from all entrees then 2 would have been chosen to go on the record. but we felt very unfair by doing this to all the bands and artist involved in the project whose time & effort is invaluable and by no means would pass by unappreciated.
So, in an effort to be fair we have decided to omit our own original version of the song from the Maxi-Single release. this version will only be featured on the Album Release, this is to allow sufficient space on the CD for all the remixes that we chose to fit in harmony with each other. (Please note that the songs in the CD will be release as one contigous block with no space in between them, kind of like a DJ set)
Every band had the same amount of time to do the remix, we like to Thank everyone involved and with no further due here we announce the winners:

A while ago the third part of the label compilation "The Resurrection" was released on the US label
WTII Records. It contains the Club-Remix of "Radio man".
Furthermore there is an interesting DJ-Mix cd on the Japanese label
Deathwatch Asia that also has a track of
State of The Union.

07/28/2009 | Single release and remix contest
Now it is final: the new single "Dancing in the Dark" (see also entry from the 07/09/2009) is due to be released in September of 2009.
This time State of The Union would like to ask their fans & friends to participate in a remix contest for this song.
If you are interested and like to participate, you will have to send us ( website [at] state-of-the-union.info ) your band's page (website or myspace) and email address.
Then the guys from State of The Union will review your page (and your sound) and select 10 winners that will receive a remix kit via email.
After that you will have two weeks to submit your remix.
On Aug. 28 two remixes out of the ten entries will be chosen.

07/01/2009 | Frozen Plasma featuring SOTU
Label mates Frozen Plasma are very successful with their recent single "Tanz Der Revolution" - the success is so big that the CD is already sold out but many people from here and there ask for it.
So Infacted decided to release an internationale version of this single which will include Italian and Spanish versions of the main track. The Spanish version was recorded with Johann of State of The Union on the microphone.
The release date and complete tracklist is not yet confirmed but you will be informed by us as soon as possible.
